Welcome to Creative Corner, the brainchild of myself, Jay Maria, who has spent over 5 years juggling self-employment like a circus performer — except with fewer clowns and more spreadsheets. 

The Handbook is the ultimate guide to thriving (and surviving) as your own boss, no matter what industry you’re in. Whether you're lost in the chaos of running a business or just need a boost of inspiration, I’ve got you covered. Whilst I’m not an educator, business advisor or a therapist - although my nail clients would probably say otherwise - I am a woman trying to navigate this big scary world, and I want to share that journey with those who are interested. 

At Creative Corner, it’s not just about the advice - because if you’re anything like me you probably won’t listen to it and just think, “why learn from others when I can make the same mistakes with a personal touch?” So as well as the handbook, I offer 1:1 Zoom calls where we can have 30 minutes of caffeinated chaos. You can finally ask all your burning questions whether that be about nails, taxes, designing logos, training, time management, or simply navigating life and self employment as a neurospicy, which can sometimes feel like dancing with flaming swords while riding a unicycle — chaotic, a little bit risky, but somehow, it’s where all the fun happens.

Creative Corner is a space to connect, laugh, and get real about the rollercoaster ride that is life. So, whether you’re new to the self-employed life, a seasoned pro, or just like to be involved in something offering good vibes, Creative Corner is here to help you laugh through the mayhem (because crying ruins the mascara).

• Digital download, no physical product will be sent to you. An automatic email with a download link will be sent to you once you have placed your order.

• 30 minute 1:1 Zoom call with Jay.
• Examples of topics we can cover (but are not limited to!) include: starting a business, scheduling, social media, finances/taxes, booking systems, building clientele, creating a website, designing logos and branding, navigating business with ADHD, business and relationships, maintaining a work/life balance, recommendations, or just a general nail tech natter!
• Please ensure the email address you provide on your order is correct, as this is how I will contact you to arrange a date and time for your Zoom call. I will try to respond as soon as possible, but please allow up to 72 hours to receive your scheduling email. In the scheduling email you will be given a handful of available dates and times to choose from so we can confirm your booking. Feel free to include your availability and requested times in the 'Order Special Instructions' section at the checkout to speed up the scheduling process!
• If you feel like we run out of time in the 30 minute call, I also offer follow up calls that you're able to book after your first call takes place. My rates for this are £25 for 30 minutes.
